1. Agreement to Terms

By downloading, installing, accessing, or using the Career English mobile application ("App") or related services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use and End User License Agreement ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not install or use the App.

2. Educational Purpose & No Guarantee of Employment

Career English provides professional communication and workplace English coaching for adult professionals. The App, curriculum, video demonstrations, exercises, and speaking practice tools are designed solely as educational resources to assist learners in developing confidence and communication skills under workplace scenarios.

Important Disclosure: Career English does not guarantee employment, job offers, promotions, salary increases, or interview outcomes. Progress and individual results depend on your own application and workplace performance.

3. Course Curriculum & Access Tiers

The Version 1 flagship course is Speak Confidently at Work, consisting of 10 structured workplace lessons:

  • Free Foundations (Lessons 1–3): Available to all learners free of charge without requiring a credit card, payment details, or subscription. Includes:
    1. Introduce Yourself Professionally
    2. Communicate Your Value
    3. Speak Up in Meetings
  • Career English Premium (Lessons 4–10): Requires an active paid subscription to access advanced workplace scenarios:
    1. Answer Interview Questions Confidently
    2. Tell a Professional Story Using STAR
    3. Give a Clear Project Update
    4. Disagree Professionally
    5. Present an Idea in Two Minutes
    6. Handle Challenging Questions
    7. Discuss Career Development and Promotion

4. Subscriptions, Pricing & Auto-Renewal

Career English offers access to premium lessons through auto-renewing subscriptions:

  • Monthly Subscription: $14.99 per month
  • Annual Subscription: $79.99 per year (offering savings over the monthly plan)

Payment & Renewal Terms:

  • No Free Trial: Subscriptions do not include a free trial period. Payment is charged directly to your Apple ID / Google Play account upon purchase confirmation.
  • Auto-Renewal: Subscriptions automatically renew for the same duration and price unless canceled at least 24 hours prior to the end of the current billing cycle.
  • Renewal Billing: Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.
  • Managing & Canceling Subscriptions: You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time through your mobile device account settings:

  • App & Account Deletion: Deleting the Career English app or deleting your user account does not cancel your store subscription. You must cancel billing through Apple or Google Play directly.

5. Intellectual Property & License Grant

Subject to these Terms, Career English Inc. grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App on your mobile devices solely for your personal, non-commercial educational use.

All curriculum design, pedagogical frameworks, Diora video coaching demonstrations, audio assets, transcripts, text, graphics, and brand marks are the exclusive property of Career English Inc. and are protected by United States and international copyright, trademark, and intellectual property laws. You may not copy, record, modify, reverse engineer, distribute, or publicly display any lesson assets without prior written consent.

6. Acceptable Use & Conduct

You agree not to:

  • Attempt to circumvent subscription paywalls, digital rights management, or media authorization protocols.
  • Use automated tools, bots, or scrapers to extract curriculum content or media URLs.
  • Interfere with or disrupt the operation of servers, Edge Functions, or storage networks.
  • Upload confidential employer documents or proprietary business secrets during practice exercises.

7. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the App if you violate these Terms. You may terminate your relationship with Career English at any time by ceasing use of the App and deleting your account through the in-app Account settings or our external deletion page.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties & Limitation of Liability

THE APP AND ALL CONTENT ARE PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMISSIBLE BY LAW, CAREER ENGLISH INC. DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. IN NO EVENT SHALL CAREER ENGLISH INC. BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE APP.
